WHO IS GOING TO BE KICKED OUT IN THE FASHION PALACE?

Fashion is a unpredictable business circle. You never know when you are going to be in, going to be big, going to be out! I know a lot of designer present their collection at various fashion shows and event. Their name may appear in local city newspaper or magazine, even on TV, their creativity may attract a lot of crowd to be amazed by their success. My opinion, the only way to measure the designer's success is to ask how many pieces have you sold? Do you running a profitable and up going business? How many retail shops do you have, how many of them are still making money?
Luxury branding retail are still in a going up trend. They are the one creating trends, represent first class quality, top crew craftmanship, best yet most trendy designs within the unbeatable fashion team. Not to mention their clients gathered most wealthy and pretigious people, but also attract a large amount less pretigious but simply trend followers. Moreover, alongside business development of Chinese market, they become the major shoppers for luxury brands. Almost" i buy what is most expensive one" motto illustrate their value and false yet measurable status.
Their are some middle class fashion still exiting and quite successful. Their major clients are mostly business woman, working class or retailed baby boomers. Rebecca Tylor, Vince, Judith Charles are the typical example of those surviving and growing middle class brands. Their clients have enough money to buy quality clothing, but not necessary for those fashion forward top quality luxury brands. They own some , like bags, belts, but they are too cautious or bright to just follow names. Their challenge is always have to develop the market for their clients from those young crowed. When the super young girl, just entered their career ladder, they most likely go to Zara or HM. But their existing working class clients once reach their retirement, are very likely to change their shopping circle.
Zara would be the next line up. With their huge financial backups and fast design team as well as their 0 storage policy, zara style are the young trends followers and of course affordable. H&M and forever 21 are also rapidly created clothing empire day by day. Their fasting moving trends, better quality and day by day cheaper values have crushed a lot of fashion company business that used to known for its cheap yet design based such as Urban behavior, costa blanc, bedo, le chateau.
There is a silent battle in the retail market. H&M and 21 forever become the leading sheep by its quality and price. Their price is going lower and lower, which make no room for survival for others who is also playing the price strategy. But because their financial backup is not necessary can complete with those leaders. Therefore, they have to make changes or disappear.
Personal opinion, retail won't be the future trends for business anymore. It would perhaps slowly die out. Fasting moving technologies will develop some fast shipping and fitting methods for the on line business. Luxury brands still have its market and unique success. Just remember, On line is the trends!
